Wild somewhere

These are wildflowers, just not around here. They are doing very well in my garden, spreading …. Wildly. 

I put the shoe out! I put more lollipops in it. I got it back! Someone put it on a front step, right outside the door, with another note. Like the first one, I couldn’t read it. Fortunately my neighbor could. “Join us in a hunt for the left” and she asked if it is a right shoe. It is! So exciting. 

A 98 year old woman escaped Russian occupied Ukraine by walking six miles - in her slippers - with a cane - uphill - in the snow - both ways. Ok fine, but most of that was true. Ukrainian soldiers saw her walking along a road in the evening. They got her to the White Angels, a police group that evacuates citizens living on the frontline, who took her to a shelter for evacuees and contacted her relatives.


Norway will increase its aid to Ukraine this year by 7 billion Norwegian crowns ($633 million). 

Russia has increasingly relied on glide-bomb strikes to hit Ukraine. Russia can shoot them beyond the range of Ukrainian weapons. However, a recent Ukrainian drone attack on a Russian airbase suggests Kyiv is going after the bombs anyway. Ukraine fired dozens of attack drones at the Kushchyovskaya airfield and at two oil refineries in southwest Russia, a distance from the front lines, Britain's defense ministry said footage showed that multiple glide-bomb kits were destroyed in the Saturday attack.
