Now, as I see it......

Chapel Bridge

A very enjoyable day.  We wandered around the Saturday markets this morning looking mouth-wateringly at the lovely cheeses and pasta on offer.  I took this shot of the famous Chapel Bridge while we were walking round.  We then caught the lake boat (one of the paddle steamers this time) for a one hour cruise over to Vitznau where we caught the cog railway up to the top of Rigi Mountain, 1797 metres above sea level.

A great journey up the railway climbing some really steep gradients, and then spectacular views from the top.  I've added extras showing the view in one direction from the top, and two of the cogwheel trains arriving at the summit station at the same time.  After an hour or so walking round and seeing the views we got the train back down and enjoyed a further hour long cruise back to Lucerne, this time on a very modern boat with plenty of glass giving panoramic views.
