Rik's Bike Shed

Day Two of being a tourist in my own land, this time at Drumlanrig Castle near Thornhill. I love this place,  so much so that I buy a season ticket in April and visit as often as I can. With the pass,  you get a free tea and coffee once a month,  which makes it even more attractive. The grounds are so extensive that you can wander around and feel that you're the only visitor and sometimes I pretend that it's my own garden. Haha.
As well as the castle, gardens,  woods,  tea room and fantastic adventure playground, there are trails for mountain biking. If you don't have your own bike,  you can hire one from Rik's Bike Shed. Rik can also sell and repair bikes as well as providing expert advice and tuition. Here he is at work,  and you can find him here as well.
