ragged

Union Jacks are popping up everywhere just now in preparation for an event taking place next month. It's not all that common to see them flying here, but this one has been up for almost a year, on a pole previously occupied by a Rangers flag.

Those of you who have been Girl Guides like me will spot immediately what is wrong with this flag*  (apart from its sorry ragged state - perhaps a metaphor for Broken Britain?). I'm guessing it was unintentional and not a distress signal.

A sunny but (as you can see) windy day and perfect for hanging out washing and doing some gardening.
