Champions!

The team went to the coast this morning to play the departmental final. We won 2-1 in the final doubles game. It could have been all over when I played my singles which I eventually lost 6-1, 1-6, 10-7 in the super tiebreak. Had I won, it would have been my best ever victory as the opponent was ranked much higher than me, but it is a team sport so I am delighted that we won. There will be a separate prizegiving at the beginning of June, and we will all have a celebratory meal together at some point.
