A drive along the
South Thompson River always
improves my outlook

Sunrise snuck past me this morning. My eyes popped open at 6 and I was out the door by quarter after.

I turned off the Yellowhead Highway onto Shuswap Road and drove almost to the Pritchard Bridge before turning around. I found a solitary eagle perched in the usual location. It was surveying the river.

Irrigation systems are running. Had I paused longer I could have had my car washed as the water was splashing over onto the road.

I watched the mallards bobbing in the eddies. There is  much debris floating on top of the water.

I got a shot of the back of my mountains as I headed for home. I stopped to look into the canyons and bluffs on the north side of the road. My last stop before home was the drive-thru to pick up some breakfast.

I'm putting the paperwork aside for the weekend. Cooler weather will keep us inside for the most part.
