Unsettled

Up bright and early and, because occasionally I can be a considerate father, I drove Ottawacker Jr into school so he could avoid the rain, which had been falling heavily all early morning. Then it stopped, and as I arrived at the school, I saw the sun breaking through, providing a festival of colour just outside the school.

Looked at one of the applications for the NZ competition and decided that I had absolutely no desire to do it. So, I didn’t. Instead, I tidied up, did laundry, interrupted Mrs Ottawacker whenever I could, and then had a very pleasant Skype conversation with MJ in London.

Am now prepping the evening’s pizza: Ottawacker Jr has been doing a fitness session with his team, missing the Friday ritual of eating in front of a movie. Hopefully this will be a nice surprise for him.

Mrs Ottawacker's dad seems to be actually improving. There is talk of him leaving the hospice if he continues on this trajectory.
