Super shot and the more I hear about HDR, the more I need to learn about it.

Most DSLRs (and some more advanced compact cameras) come with a feature called ?Automatic Exposure Bracketing? (AEB) which can be useful to learn how to use in such situations.
By selecting it you can quickly take three shots (usually three) at different exposures without having to manually change any settings between frames.
I have set AEB to -2 0 +2 for a full range and take 3 pictures. 5 would be better but my camera can not do that automatically.
Use a tripod!!!!!!!

Nice result. I always thought 3 was enough.

Very nice and subtle The worst thing about HDR is a picture that has obviously been HDRed!

@Canterbury: try Raw, the file sizes are huge, but it's so much more flexible when it comes to post-processing.
