Saturday 4 May 2013: Grey Headed Gull (Chroicocephalus Cirrocephalus)
or (Larus Cirrocephalus)Seems to have 2 names depending on which web page you look at.
Day 16 sees us down in KwaZulu-Natal on the Indian Ocean Coast at the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, Camed up in amongst the Dunes with Monkeys, Red Duiker, Bush Buck & Banded Mongoose foraging in amongst the tents. At 1st I thought the bird above was just a blackheaded gull til I got a close look at this one and noticed the rather fetching red colouring to the beack & eye.
