Thursday 2 September 2010: Newhailes
We went to Newhailes today - just for a potter around the grounds and then went on to the Johnb Muir Country Park afterwards where Jamie went to play and I had a solo potter along the beach. I could have spent hours wandering back and forth but alas that wasn't an option.
Nice day though and I've another dead crab to add to my collection. It's on the outside windowsill at the moment as it's not exactly fresh as a daisy

Have they still got the steam trains round the back? - or have they been removed now (rental was going too high for the 'operators'?)
John Muir is a nice walk.
Used to walk the father-in-laws dog there. They are both now scattered there.

Steam trains at Newhailes? absolutely no sign that there is or ever was trains round there - very curious........ how long ago did they used to have them?
The new dead crab pongs something rotten - it's going to be well sealed in an ice-cream tub for the journey home.......
