As my mood grabs me...

Saturday 13 March 2010: Crocus

At last the Crocus are opening in my garden - I've loads of them dotted all over the place so hopefully will have a few different colours to photograph for a while.

A decent day - well no sooner did I leave the house this morning to go see the local camera club exhibition than the clouds came over - it had been blue sky and sunshine. Hey ho - I carried on out, looked at the exhibition (not as good as last years but set in a rather nice church) and then a potter round town and home again. Of course no sooner did I get home than the blue sky and sunshine reappeared and stayed put for the rest of the day.

Still, I had to get the studio tidied up for tomorrow - I have a mum and son due round and before them a rabbit to photograph - I do like a bit of variety and hopefully everyone will get some shots they like and I'll get a bit more experience.

  6. I knew you would see the the bendy leg Alison, I just knew it !!!!! I realized it after I took a few shots but my torn muscles wouldn't let me take any more for today. It really does hurt when I laugh though....
Yup, they're very glossy but that's all they had, so it makes them a little bit limiting but considering all 4 cost me about 10 pounds I can't complain. Had enough left over for some artisan voddy. My this stuff is good. I just have it very very cold with a twist of lime peel.
It takes the pain away when I chuckle.
I'd forgotten what a crocus looked like, it's been such a long winter. Great shot by the way.
Oh talking about shots I see my glass is nearly empty... tata for now.

  8. Haha Just read some of your comments. about me being ever so slightly daft ...... Interestingly about 30 people are now chatting directly to Clarence .... and you have the temerity to say I'm daft :-)))

  10. Thanks everyone - I'm waiting for the rest of the crocus to open up so I can have some different colours. There are some rather nice looking purple and white striped ones - fingers crossed they might oblige me tomorrow.

That said I'm photographing a bunny tomorrow so he/she might make an appearance instead......

Hey bargain with the wooden men Douglas - I've not a clue what mine all cost me but Woody, the main man, cost about a fiver and his stunt-double was about the same. I've not read all the comments on your Clarence shots yet - I will settle down and read them properly ASAP!

I'm on the white wine tonight thanks to dad who gave me a bottle last weekend :)

  14. Not much use to you Al, saffron is used for cooking LOL. Of course you could always sell it and retire on the proceeds<g>
