Wednesday 17 March 2010: Sorry seems to be the hardest word...
... is the song #2 son performed today as part of his audition day for a music degree course at Liverpool Hope University. He had applied to LIPA but missed the deadline for submitting 2 original compositions - bummer.
Didn't feel up to driving today so L very kindly stepped in and delivered him to his appointment and us to a day in Liverpool which included culture, retail therapy and lunch; perfect. Lots of blip material in the Conservation Centre, but liked this one of her looking pensively out of the caff there in the company of a lambanana.
What have I got to do to make you love me
What have I got to do to make you care
What do I do when lightning strikes me
And I wake to find that you're not there
What do I do to make you want me
What have I got to do to be heard
What do I say when it's all over
And sorry seems to be the hardest word
It's sad, so sad
It's a sad, sad situation
And it's getting more and more absurd
It's sad, so sad
Why can't we talk it over
Oh it seems to me
That sorry seems to be the hardest word
What do I do to make you love me
What have I got to do to be heard
What do I do when lightning strikes me
What have I got to do
What have I got to do
When sorry seems to be the hardest word

Lambanana! I recognised its profile from the thumb. We stayed in Liverpool a couple of years ago when they city was full of supelambananas :-)

Fingers crossed for him Annie. I like the incongruity of staring out of a window in a pensive mood directly onto that statue. Great stuff.

I hope he does well. It's good to have someone who will help and share a good time with you too.
Nicely composed blip.

Good luck to No2 son (that's not nitrogen dioxide son, I'm using the clockwork kitchen imac and the keyboard doesn't appear to have a hash key!) and that's a great image. For some reason, don't know why, I thought Liverpool auctioned off all the lambananas, nice to see they're still in evidence!

Sorry - never heard of lambananas! Love this citrusy shot.
