is obviously as confused as the rest of us!! this is a variety of Erica Carea, or winter flowering heather!!!!

I noticed this tiny flowerhead yesterday and as it looks like the only one on the plant thought it worthy of a blip. tried to take a few macro shots but it was waving in the wind too much. the flowers are tiny, only about a cm in length, and I had to lie full length on the grass to get this shot.

After a lazy start I went to the gym, did some washing and am just about to wash and hoover out the car. however, a friend has just phoned and wants to pop in to show me his new tripod, so I'd better get the kettle on.

I hope to get the grasss cut too if it doesn't rain.

it is still chilly here, dry at least.
