Which Way Do I Go?
This is my final blip, well for the time being at least.
No drama.I just need to put all of my concentration into working and earning a living rather than looking for blips. I've never wanted to put day to day work images up on blip much preferring my own personal ones but I feel I'm putting too much energy into finding the perfect blip and I'm not so keen on filling in with a mobile phone snapshot.
Another factor is that I want to keep control of my own images and choose carefully where they appear online. Imminent new copyright laws means that it's going to be much more difficult to keep control of our images and who can use them. I think blip is trying hard on this matter but I still have issues. If I'm honest I also don't like the changes that are happening at blip although I can see why they are doing it. A few people who like to check my blips regularly, and one non-English speaking friend here in Spain, can now no longer browse through my blips without registering and signing in. It's Blipfoto's business of course and they are entitled to gather data and look for new paying members to make a profit but this particular option was a mistake in my opinion.
I'll still be browsing and hopefully commenting on my favourite blippers and especially those who have become friends. You know who you are.
If anyone is interested I will still be keeping a journal of sorts on my blog and I'll try to post a weekly set of my favourite images. I don't think I can link to anything here but I think you are allowed to click on the about BHPPhoto link where you will see a set of my own links. E-Mail me if you want blog update reminders and I'll put you on the list.
