I thought perhaps I should update this bit, I wonder if anyone reads it. I know I go on to other people's biography pages and read them. I have found it interesting to learn where people are from and why they joined/continue with blip.
I set out with the intention of trying to take better photographs and use my camera more. Well I certainly take more photos. I thought I might last a week or maybe a month with a photo every day. 50 came and went; number 100 here was successful beyond my hopes and now 150 is behind me. Some days I have been really happy with and some not so.
I don't like "messing about" with photos too much. I do like some of the possibilities Photoshop opens up but I want to be able to take good photographs in camera as they say.
I am married ( my wife patiently puts up with this madness) with two grown up (?) children. One has joined blip completefluke.
I am an accountant working in industry; I keep saying that one day I will work out what I want to do. Until then with apologies to Martha - Echo Beach:

My job is very boring, I'm an office clerk.
The only thing that helps me pass the time away
Is knowing I'll be back at Blip each day

Kateann (here), my sister in law introduced me to this site. I am not sure whether to thank or curse her at the moment. With such short daylight hours it is going to test my creativity, and as anyone who knows me will testify creativity is not something I am associated with.
I finally gave up trying to learn from the manual/books - I found them too technical/boring for me. So I did a one day course with Going Digital that aims to get people off Auto. Suddenly the words in the books had some sense. I am trying to stay off auto and the results are mixed as you will no doubt see.
My camera is a Canon EOS 1000D. Carrying this around at work is not always possible so I have a Panasonic Lumix and at some point I will no doubt resort to using the camera on my phone.
Comments and suggestions will be appreciated.
