Monday 28 January 2013: St. Andrew's Cross Spider?

Dad found this sitting on the doorframe today. Not sure what species it is exactly. It's holding its legs together similar to a St. Andrew's Cross spider, so it's probably a relative. I'll have to brush up on my arachnology and find out. It would be easier to tell if it were in a web. St Andrew's Cross spiders make a very distinct web with a clear 'X' shape in the middle, hence the name.
