About Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun
Saturday, April 23, 2011
I like the silhouette, so I have finally and again changed my "about" page photo. I'm still as in love with Blipfoto as I was 2+ years ago. I do find it much more difficult to have the time to comment. For that I apologize. I came to this online site mostly to have a place to write daily. for the past 20 years, I have been teaching writing, so I have a firm belief that I must be writing daily. I cannot teach what I am not doing.

We got all dressed-up to attend the December 5th wedding of Jessica & Billy and managed to get someone to click a photo of us. Since mid-July Mr. Fun has lost 50 pounds and I think he looks so good. So it seemed like time to post a newer photo, so here it is. Even though the photo is no longer here, this links to one that does let you see us.

I hope to soon grab enough time to write an explanation of who I am so I can post it in this "about" section of Blip. At the moment, I am simply having fun. and attempting to get in the groove of daily blipping. I would like to use my journal as a daily reminder of my life--family and friends--by posting one photo with write-up each day.
Briefly, I was born and raised in So. Calif. and I still live here in this land of fruits and nuts. I love this place. For the past 18 years I have been employed full-time at a community college to instruct students to learn to write accurate and meaningful prose. It gets more difficult as the younger generation transitions to text-messaging as their first language. If the state budget does not go bankrupt, I'll continue encouraging students that writing is a powerful tool.
More later. For now, I'm off to view the blips of others.
