I'm Dave, living in Leith (so there are quite a few blips of the area). Married to the wonderful Meles.
Outside blipping, I'm an osteoarchaeologist (so there are some pictures of bones) I read a lot, listen to music and grow stuff up at our allotment (so there are some photos of vegetables and flowers). This site has also become a bit of a repository for recording some of the birds I encounter (actually, there are a LOT of photos of birds!)


Introduced to blipping by my brother-in-law, who also gifted me his old DSLR, thanks Jim :).

I've been blipping for over 2 years, now, and still determined to blip every day. Sometimes that means the quality of the image is a bit desperate, but I find looking back at even a bad photo brings the memory of the day flooding back. This is a magical site! I have made so many virtual and real-life friends here :)

I'm still a bloke who carries a camera, rather than a photographer, but I have learned a lot over these last years. Certainly the blip I put up is more often like the image I saw in my head when I pressed the shutter.
