So this was my lovely evening - drove across town to go hiking in the mountains...it's been a long long week! I needed to unwind.
On my way there I came across the most beautiful rainbow - there were people pulled over watching it. But as you can see, weather in the mountains was bad...you cant even see them. Then as soon as I started getting near the mountain...it was snowing like crazy! I was determined to go hiking...well, apparently everyone else was thinking the same...the drive up the mountain took forever.
But oh, once I got there...so amazing. There is just something about mountains and snow falling that instantly calms the soul. So I kept going up further...eventually I thought I should turn around. Turned around and the car decided to slide down the hill for about 30 seconds. I had the foot on the break...going 0 mph and it was slipping. All I could do was control it...a bit scary but all is well...it was still worth it.
Great weekend planned - flying early tomorrow, Sam and I are seeing a friends band play tomorrow night, then viewing a few homes on Sunday. Hope to get out of town - flights all around the Southwest have been cancelled today and yesterday due to weather.
