Be Off With You!

We went for a lovely walk in the sun today. Lots of snowdrops and crocuses out - it's all starting up again at last.

There was a bit of excitement. We saw two big Sparrowhawks circling about on high. I'm sure that's what they were. They had rounded wings.

Then a scruffy-looking but bold crow appeared from the woods and started hassling them. You would think they would just say Get Lost Shorty.

But no..... they quietly glided away. Crow must have given them the evil eye.

  4. If the pair were prospecting for a nesting site, an ill mannered crow might well have driven then on.

I thought buzzards had 'fingered' feathers on their wing ends. We get them round Arthur's seat.

  5. On reflection they were a bit big for sparrowhawks although they do circle around in the sky as well as carrying out work at ground level! The jury's out!
