Sunday 14 March 2010: the day of the ma
After our lovely heartwarming weekend away in the snow (well, 4 hours in the snow, really) we drove back to Edinburgh in the gorgeous sunshine and felt well and truly confident that winter was over.
We dumped our stuff, picked up a very mouldy bag of bread for the ducks (hope they are good with penicillan) and a few bits and bobs and went for a wee walk with the boy.
We succeeded in feeding 2 swans and about 20 ducks and didn't get dive bombed by seagulls once - very rare indeed. Arlo spent most of the time throwing bread at the swan, which gave me the fear a wee bit, but no broken necks or limbs later and all was good.
After the exhaustion of feeding all those birds we decided we needed pizza shaped therapy and pizza express was willing to help.
A lovely weekend behind us, pizza, wine, stroll home, snooze on the sofa and Masterchef.
Life doesn't really get better than this.

Comments
Was Arlo more interested in the swans than in posing for the camera?

Think he was more interested in jumping in the water in general! Scary! Hope your mother's day was a real treat too x
