Having a baby, we are quickly discovering, is something magical. We appear to have made an awful lot of people happy. Somewhere in my little bubble I forgot to remember that Bry and I have created granny's and nana's, grandads and pops, aunties, uncles, 2nd cousins, buddies several times over, a great granny and many, many smiling faces.
Who knew that my granny's next door neighbour but two would find joy in our situation - knowing that she'll probably never meet Arlo, she still sent a card. Every day the postie comes, a couple of blue envelopes appear filled with lovely words and wonderful sentiments and happiness all over the place.
It truly is a joyous occasion. For more than The Family Dog.
