About Gillipaw's Journal

April 2011.
I began my Journal in April 2009, initially for a year, to remember my dear sister in law Hilary, who posted some images here just before she passed away. Gillipaw was the fun name she used to call me.

Little did I know what all this would lead to. So far, I have not missed a day. It has helped me to keep in touch with family and friends, and has given me a new interest which I really enjoy. I notice much more in the world around me now.

I take a camera with me wherever I go, and am learning all the time. I attended a weekend course at Streetlevel in Glasgow last autumn, and also spent ten weeks studying the Open University T189 Digital Photography course. In Feb 2011 I attended the Portrait Photography Course at Stills in Edinburgh.
