Tuesday 18 June 2013: Red Hot Day's Poppy and Bee
This little bee was surely staying out of the sun for a while, then he ventured back out. I think most of our poppies will wilt by tomorrow if the temperatures continue like this. It seems to have gone from winter to summer within a few days in Switzerland! There are dire warnings about a three day heatwave on the weather forecast. It was over 34 degrees C today.
Larger is hotter red! The green things are not insects, just the protection for the poppy's buds.
Thank you, yet again, for all of the support for yesterday's pastel sunrise colours.
