Recovery - Day 9

Sorry to the more squeamish amongst you who didn't fancy looking at my new scar.

Stitches came out this morning. Well, I was expecting stitches under all those steri-strips but there weren't any on the surface. They are all under the skin.

The nurse at my GP's surgery was kind enough to take a photo for me. I'm really impressed and think it's lovely and clean and is neat and tidy. She put another dressing on afterwards as it needs to heal a bit more - the position of it means that my clothing and hair will bother it, especially when I lay down or lean back in a chair.

Also had a good and useful appointment with my doctor.

N and I have decided to go back to our house tonight and spend a couple of nights there over the weekend. We will go back to stay at my parents' on Sunday night so that I'm not on my own during the day in the week while N is at work. I'm not ready - physically or emotionally - to be on my own yet.

Nice to have a change of scene.
