About Joe Blogs

Hello. My name is Joe and I'm the founder of Blipfoto.

It started life on 21 October 2004 as my personal photo diary. I set out to take and upload a picture every day and, aside from two days, I've managed to do precisely that ever since.

When Blipfoto was just mine, people kept asking me if I could help them set up something similar. I soon realised there wasn't anything out there that really fitted the bill, so along with a few colleagues, in 2006 I launched a very basic version of what you see now.

Things have grown like crazy since then, and what started as a small, personal project has become home to the most wonderful online community I've ever had the pleasure of being part of.

On my own journal, I simply share a little piece of something that's happened to me that day - if I happen to get a great picture or write something interesting, all the better. But it's the act of recording something that keeps me going, as it's such a wonderful thing to look back on.
