Trainspotters "r" us!

After another busy morning in the house, MaggieD and I took Euan off to Stirling to watch for trains. After standing on the big footbridge for a while, we went down to the station and asked at the barrier if we could enter to watch for trains. The friendly station staffer was happy to let us through and even gave Euan a "special ticket". That's good customer service!
We watched a procession of passenger trains going north, south and east and, just as we were about to leave, a coal train rolled through. Even though it was a string of empties returning to Hunterston for refilling, Euan was fair entranced. Twenty two big 100 tonne coal hoppers was a humongous train to one three years old!
A little later, after taking him home, Euan had a multi-track set up laid out on the floor with a long, long train trundling round.
The joys of imagineering!
