Life is Incredible

Monday 30 August 2010: Morning Sun

it is pretty dry here and the outside flowers are pretty sad looking.

thinking about different ways to photograph. i like to take something beautiful and try to capture it, but notice that many people take the ordinary and present it in a beautiful way. this is not something that i know how to do, but then i am in a rut and need to expand my talents.

sunlight coming in the window this morning was quite lovely so i snapped it. then the questions was how to present it? any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

  1. I think it's presented beautifully, the capture is perfect, color is soft and yet vibrant, and you have so many exciting elements to the shot, the diagonal lines of the shadow, the light and blinds themselves, and the lovely sheer curtains with pattern, the capture is a feast for the eyes and gorgeous!!Matt

  2. Nothing wrong with this one!

  3. Sometimes the light filtering through the blinds falls on a wall an dmakes delightful patterns, I use that now and then, rather than taking the blinds themselves. Also a small ornament placed on the window sill can look effective, with the vertical style blinds towering above it. Nice light and shade on this of yours :) Sometimes too a macro shot of the fabric only, with the light coming through it, is nice as well.

  4. Ah, I think it's pretty great just the way it is. The light fabric, the blinds, and the lighting stripes - really nice composition!
