Monday 15 September 2014: Vive La Difference
The drive home runs to almost 50 miles. Today, my eagerly anticipated arrival had to be postponed. A phone call taken just yards from the front door requested the gathering of items essential to ensuring the good nature and well-being of the smallest of our small people.
On my way to a supermarket of diminishing fortunes, I passed this delightful looking shop window. My eye was first drawn by the chest of drawers, reminiscent of those occupying a corner of my study. I then noticed the small sign, which caused me to laugh out loud in the middle of the High Street. Thankfully, it is a small town High Street and it was early evening.
