Saturday 11 February 2012: International Evening
The MClitlleS (Mountain Cambridge Little School), our Pre-Primary School, held their annual International Evening late this afternoon.
We have little children from a variety of cultures in our little school, and once a year the parents cook traditional food at their different stalls and the kiddies treat the parents to a little International Play for about 20 minutes, where after everybody present are allowed to taste the different foods at the stalls.
The entrance fee goes toward the Class fund and is used to purchase all sorts of educational and interesting equipment for the classes.
The US and UK stalls are visible in this picture, there were stalls with African, Portuguese, Greek, Dutch, Indian and more available!
At the African Stall there were, amongst others, a dish with fried Mopani Worms, which were very popular to be tasted!! C got a few gooood pics of Joe and his partner, eating the Mopani worms, the facial expressions said it all, even their arms were gooseflesh all over!! Hiehiehie!
