Sunday 13 September 2009: Wet Dog Alert!

Ollie heading towards me at top speed - do I stand my ground and blip him or run? He was high as a kite, loving the sea and the waves and tearing round at top speed!

Poor dog had been waiting in the car for ages while as we picked plums - yes, in Orkney! A friend, with a very sheltered garden, said we could help ourselves, so we did, and ended up with 3 kilos of them. We spend this afternoon stewing them and making jam. Had to call past the village shop to get more milk to make custard - can't have plums without custard! I foresee a crumble or two in the next few days too!
