When I bought my smartphone 2 years ago, I wasn't remotely impressed when the staff at vodaphone waxed lyrical about the camera. I had never been one for taking snaps and have happily gone through life without feeling the need to capture moments or memories on film.

As it turns out and like so many people, I became hooked on taking pictures with my phone. Spurred on by my partner who knows far more about photography than me , I have now progressed to using a Canon digital camera, though admittedly it isn't quite so easy to cart around and I still hardly know how to use it !

My range is pretty limited - I am not a great traveler and I work full time, so most of my pictures tend to be of the everyday things around me. But I find that more interesting as it is a challenge to generate something from the small and the familiar.
