Tuesday 31 August 2010: National Library for Scotland

Link with Kellie Castle - the person who designed the statues on the facade of the National Library for Scotland used to spend his holidays at Kellie Castle, which we visited a couple of weekends ago. One of the Lorimer family. Need to check which one!

It's a lovely morning in Edinburgh. The city is dismantling all the Fringe stages and sets around the centre which have been the centre of so much activity for the last three weeks. Although the Edinburgh International Festival is still on, there is a sense of 'back to normal' - beautiful parts of the city on view against a backdrop of blue skies. Long may it last.
