Saturday 18 May 2013: The Velociraptor and the Butterfly
The rain did not pour down, in fact the sun even shone for some of the time; Cransky the clown came and everyone had a marvellous time! The stegosaurus and Miss Piggy cakes were a great success, too. Now I've got over 600 photos to go through; Cransky asked me to take photos as she doesn't really have any for her publicity yet, so there really are hundreds!
The problem with being asked to take photographs is that you suddenly feel under pressure to produce ones that are actually good! And with photographs of children's parties, you have to go through them all and edit carefully because in some images, what appears at first to be nothing special may have something going on in one corner that would make a nice shot if cropped in. AND, I've learned the hard way that it's especially important to take note of what's going on in the background if your DOF is not very short - I've got a whole series of really great shots of Cransky, but behind her, in the open window, is a baby's head attached firmly to a breast!
I got si tired last night I had to go to bed and couldn't choose what to blip. So it's the little Velociraptor and her friend the butterfly. I think my favorite part of this is the velociraptor's hand.
