Thursday 24 May 2012: Fallen Giant

I found this one toppled over in the autumn leaves on my lawn. I thought the red stippling interesting (though keep in mine I have no idea what is normal or not for fungi). The trapped droplet also drew me to it - it must be dew from this morning as we've had no rain today.

NOTE: Just seen it on the screen and realised you'll have to view it in large to see the droplet.
