Three Redwoods . . .
Inspired by recent impressionistic techniques of hpx and Southside Snapper, this blip is of three magnificent, but still young, giant redwood trees that I pass in my daily walk through Parc Bertrand.
No post processing here. Just a simple vertical movement with a slow shutter speed. I am still trying to convince ju4bluz that the image is not "just blurred and out of focus"...

Very interesting - are you sure that the image is not 'just blurred and out of focus'? :)
Seriously, it is very cool, although looking at it large made me a bit dizzy. I love these trees, would never have thought to shoot them this way. Bravo!

Definitely blurred and out of focus, but I do like this one!

What an gorgeously blurred and out of focus photo!! Tho' I too almost tossed my cookies when I viewed it large!

Totally impressionistic - love it. I thought the blur was due to my hangover:-))

I just cleaned my glasses with Bausch & Lomb sight savers lens tissues, I was waiting for the alcohol to evaporate and thought it was taking longer then usual. :-) I like this shot, it drew me in from the thumbnail, nice work!

Beautiful, almost abstract image!

Wow, that's different! As I commented to someone earlier, I am amazed at the ideas people have on this site; it is so inspiring.

Nice.....you're getting good at this!

i was introduced to this technique 3-4 yrs ago & had completely forgotten about it - thank you for the reminder - i feel it gives the trees even more presence - lovely.

Oh, I love it (and well, hpx is one of my very favourite photographers, so it stands to reason...) Many thanks for subscribing to my journal!

Love the Impressionist look - beautiful colours too :-)

Thats a good effort and really like the funny write as I get the same. The techniques called ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) but people just look at me funny when I explain it was deliberate.

It makes me dizzy, but for some reason I also wanna keep looking at it. Very cool effect :)
Thanks for subscribing, J. And genever, or jenever, is the perfect way to celebrate all things orange. Please continue :)

This is gorgeous - love the effect and you can still feel the size of the trees. Great job!
