In Search of Puifin . . .

Three Redwoods . . .

Inspired by recent impressionistic techniques of hpx and Southside Snapper, this blip is of three magnificent, but still young, giant redwood trees that I pass in my daily walk through Parc Bertrand.

No post processing here. Just a simple vertical movement with a slow shutter speed. I am still trying to convince ju4bluz that the image is not "just blurred and out of focus"...

  1. Very interesting - are you sure that the image is not 'just blurred and out of focus'? :)

Seriously, it is very cool, although looking at it large made me a bit dizzy. I love these trees, would never have thought to shoot them this way. Bravo!

  7. I just cleaned my glasses with Bausch & Lomb sight savers lens tissues, I was waiting for the alcohol to evaporate and thought it was taking longer then usual. :-) I like this shot, it drew me in from the thumbnail, nice work!

  17. Thats a good effort and really like the funny write as I get the same. The techniques called ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) but people just look at me funny when I explain it was deliberate.
