Sorry Face

Quote from Mr Steviefish: "btw, good to meet you today hope you got a better blip than my sorry face!"

Erm. No. There I was, marching onto George Street. Ahead I could see two chaps with their cameras out. They looked slightly familiar, but I've got an aversion to looking like an eejit so didn't want to launch into 'Hey, are you blippers!' so carried on, until I heard the words 'That looks like Wilmington's Cow'. And that was it, the momentous meeting of three photographic minds (well, two and a pretend one, after all as I pointed out my camera was still in the bag).

With Stevie was Mr Monochrome and we chatted for a wee while about Blipfoto and work and bosses not being in the office, while Stevie gave me a shot of his cracking 30mm lens (with which this shot and the one of Monochrome was taken).

With a limited lunch hour (my boss was in the office) I was actually out for a few things, amongst them something that meant I fulfilled a long held, er, dream. Nothing quite as momentous as the meeting, I finally got round to buying myself a pair of Converse All-Stars. Okay, so they're trendy now, but I've wanted for aaaaaages and gave in.

There's something (and this will sound either weird or arty or mental) about the way they highlight the movement of the feet that I like... And being dressed in my suit and overcoat I looked just a little bit like Dr Who while trying them on.

The work either side of that lunch hour was busy enough to pass at a decent speed and now that I'm home there's work to do on the website, with the next issue of my online magazine to be uploaded tomorrow night.

Guys, it was a pleasure meeting you, and I've got to get me one of those lenses....
