Barachois River
On yesterday's walk thro the forest, and out to the sea....we passed the Barachois river many times.
Today is bright and sunny, the lovely company of the weekend have gone....and so i'm taking this holiday monday to start a new paiting! it's been awhile and i laugh at myself needing to attend to all my little rituals before beginning the painting. one of which is to rewatch my guru guy......Richard MacKinlay.....then there is the prep work, the tidying of the area around the painting area...on and on....but i finally got the underpainting done, and i'm off for a walk while it dries. i know this looks nothing like the photo i'm using as a reference.....all of this will be covered up with pastels!!!
