Ross Harcourt - antipodean ex skateboard phenomenon and personal trainer to several mature female TV presenters - worked Elvira's body 'hard'.

Elvira's anger, fuelled by the memory of childbirth and now by the pain of physical exertion was focused on uncovering the violator of her lingerie drawer (whilst regaining her youthful vigour).

Laurence, having completed the latest phase of his secret project had attempted to use the dining room phone, but on reflection, decided to book his early morning flight to Berlin online.
