This Week In Blipfoto - 3 June

3rd June 2011

This week has been taken up by the Oxfam Grow project which as you can see, was a great success. At last count, we had picnic posts from 15 countries - just amazing! Oxfam sends a big thanks to everyone who took part.

They loved watching your creative picnic posts pouring in from all around the world - Argentina, Canada, China, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Iraq, Japan, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and the USA.

You really helped create some noise about the campaign and got it off to great start. A big well done. Click here to see what Oxfam said about the Blippers' efforts.

We met some of our local blipping chums at the Edinburgh Blipnic - it was fun and the rain stayed away.

In other news, have you seen the Blog feature on Craig and Stewart's Big American Adventure? If you haven't yet, it's really worth a read. It's a fascinating story about the process and outcome of their collaboration.

Other than that, we've had a heads down and get stuff done week - sound familiar? But as always, we did have a chance to pick out a bunch of Golden Crowns this week.

Staff Picks

We loved this view from the drivers seat of Sugar Magnolia's iconic yellow bus creeping through the fog:

Meanwhile over in Poland, DP captured this amazing, intriguing and slightly chilling shot shot of President Obama riding in The Beast:

We also liked the surfin' action in this Momentum entry:

And finally, we were struck by the light and contrast in this beautiful image of an unknown beach stroller from Dani:

We can't see every photograph on Blip so do contact us if something really catches your eye.

Our Dear Leader is back from Ibiza and was in deep conversation with the Deputy Editor of a major American Newspaper yesterday - but he's keeping it a secret for now!

Local Blipper Stewart has also returned, from his successful joint show in the USA looking as dashing as ever.

And Kamran has set off on his epic 10,000 km bike ride.

It'll be a journey worth following.

That's all for now folks, have a great weekend.
