This Week in Blipfoto - 9 Sept
9th September 2011
Hello all - busy, busy, busy...
Most of the week has been spent working on the Momentum project, which has already received hundreds of thousands of nomination clicks from the community. We'll be announcing the finalists soon, so watch this space.
Following lots of requests, we've also been developing a new parcel of Groups, and you now have access to four new ones:
- Portraiture
- Macro & close-up
- Nature & Wildlife
- Performance & Music
If you're interested in any of the these subjects dive right in.
We're also introducing an RSS feed to each of the groups so you can keep up to date with any changes though your favourite reader. Look out for the RSS icon underneath the photographs in each group - just click to access the feed.
Social Media Week
Joe is delivering a keynote speech at Social Media Week in Glasgow on Tuesday 20 September at 2.45 at the Glasgow Film Theatre. Please try and come along to meet him and the crew, and hear his insights into our unique community. (Tickets are free and open to anyone - just click the link above to register.)
He's also hoping to to show a compilation of Blippers' home videos so if you'd like to add yours just pop a note on to his blog post.
Staff picks
We all love a classic car and you don't really get much classier than this beautiful Cadillac Fleetwood snapped by This too shall pass. We think it's a 1959 - go on 'big up' up those fins.
Continuing on the automotive theme (well sort of - and you really have to look at it in large) is this 'abstract' image from acronymphmania. It holds a very small surprise.
As you can see 'Heaven', according to Bald Eagle is having a sit down when you're 'dog tired'.
...and finally bring it on! from Rioja
That boy will go far.
