The greatest thing about Blipfoto is the community. The Blippers, the individuals that come together from every corner of the world to share stories through pictures, one day at a time.

Blipfoto may, in its simplest form, be a daily photo journal, but for many people it means much more.

For some it might be a way to better improve your photography. For others it is a way to record your life. Some use it to keep in touch with friends, while others will take to Blip to make new ones. From the occasional user to the "one a day" stalwart, your ability to tell stories through your pictures - from the everyday to the extraordinary - is what makes Blip such an engaging place.

So we want to discover even more about the interesting stories that are being shared. We want to find even more great pictures, and explore what it took to get them.

In short, we want to put the focus on you! So, over the coming weeks, we will dedicate the Blip Blog to the Blippers. It might be that you have an interesting story to share, it may be that you could inspire or help other Blippers.

From family life to photography, if you know a Blipper that would be perfect for the Blog, get in touch.

Meanwhile, Blip founder Joe has been invited to speak at the prestigious TEDx conference next month.

TED has previously seen some of the greatest minds, creative thinkers and talented 'doers' take to its stage to share their thoughts and experience. A nonprofit organisation devoted to "Ideas Worth Spreading", it started in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from the worlds of Technology, Entertainment and Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader.

TEDx Glasgow's theme is Enlightenment 2.0... (If you want to go along on the 4th of March, check the TEDx Glasgow website out for ticket details.)

We're sure Joe will add to that prestigious list of speakers...

Hills and heather. Scotland may be famous for its stunning scenery. But chance would be a fine thing that you could see it through the fog or the rain. It does add to the mystical allure of this picture, though of an ethereal Strathlachlan.

The 2nd annual Tweed Run, Helsinki. A host of dapper young men in their finest tweed and top hats, out for a cycle... Only problem is the snow (lots of it) and the -20 degrees temperature. I'm sure they never had that problem at the first ever Tweed Run, which was held in London in 2009 - since then it's spread all over the world.

The south coast of England. Gyllyngvase Beach, Falmouth to be precise... The contrast between the size, might and mass of the tankers and the paddle boarders is only accentuated by the perspective provided by the paddler in the near distance.

As Europe experiences one of its coldest winters in recent record, the bright colours of this washing line standout, stark against the white of a snow-covered Italy.

The sparkling reflection in the little boys eyes, the blanket of bright green lights overhead, the warmth of the street. Milad un Nabi is the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad. It is commemorated by Muslims around the world. This shot from Charminar, India captures the festive mood perfectly.
