Silver & Light - a return to Wet Plate Printing

Ex pro-snowboarder-turned-photographer Ian Ruhter has released a new film about his latest project, Silver & Light.

Frustrations with modern photography have driven Ruhter to look back to the beginnings of the craft and, in particular the process of wet plate printing.

After building a giant pinhole camera inside a truck, Ruhter sets out to create one-off prints of what his giant camera sees.

He claims that the project is "created with the same spirit that America was founded on."

As he travels around America looking for people and places to shoot, through social media, you will be able to keep track of where we are going and help us decide where we go next.
