This Week in Blipfoto - Just Add Great Content
20th April 2012
Each day people from every corner of the world post thousands of pictures and stories on Blipfoto. The most amazing content from every continent is captured, shared and lovingly digested.
With all this great content that's being produced though, we thought it's about time we started to share some great things too.
As you might have already noticed below, as well as giving you all the up-to-date news, gossip and stories from BlipCentral in the Blog, we're now also going to use it to share great content that we think might interest you.
Of course, we'll be continuing our series of Blipper Profiles and indepth features. And furthermore, we have a host of exciting projects up our sleeves too, readying for launch very soon...
So, remember to keep a regular check on the Blog to make sure you don't miss a thing. (Every post will no longer be notified...)
After the earthquake, Japan has made moves to conserve energy. Most of the crazy lights that light up Tokyo don't come on until just before sunset now... Check out this amazing shot of a darkened Tokyo, with only a lit-up high school yakyu (baseball) game... View it large.
Showers over Sheapshead: A moody looking shot of some very moody weather in the South of Ireland...
An all action BMX shot. Fast riders and poor light make for difficult photography conditions. But we think this shot came out very nicely indeed.
Black and red. The diversity of the street life. The uniformity of the colours. It could only be London, really...
This shot of children on their way to school in Japan divided opinion at BlipCentral. Was it a good shot or a great shot? Was it a shutter click away from being a brilliant shot? We certainly thought it was worth a Staff Pick either way.
A great number of Blippers will remember Molly from Tuscany who became a big part of the Blipfoto community.
May 7th 2011 was her last Blip before her sudden passing. So, it's been suggested that an appropriate celebration of her life would be to launch a Challenge for Molly on May 7th 2012. Find out more on the Challenge Forum.
Molly's journal is still there for everyone to read... Alongside the hundreds of comments left in her memory.
