19th June 2012
Jimmy Hickey, a young Portland-based photographer has created a short video which shares his tips on how he goes about photographing strangers.
Hickey, who specializes in documentary, portrait and sport photography, details the process he goes through when taking photographs of people he meets while either travelling the world or walking to his local convenience store.
This ten-minute film focusses on four main points - the idea, the approach, creation and closing - and has some great hints that can easily be applied to your own documentary photography.
