See us... Tell our creative story
27th June 2012
After much planning and a strict vow of secrecy, we can now lift the lid on Blipfoto's latest, big project: See us
With the help of some of Scotland's most-recognised creative figures, See us will create a snapshot of Scottish creativity from your photos and stories.
2012 is the Year of Creative Scotland and - with your help - we're going to record and celebrate it by creating a book and a touring exhibition, curated by a panel that includes best-selling author Ian Rankin and world-renowned musician Nicola Benedetti.
We're also dreaming up some other special outcomes along the way.
So, we want you to share what creativity in Scotland means to you - it could be your child's first drawing or the work of a Turner-prize winning artist; it could be an amateur musician performing in the corner of your local pub or an international Scottish superstar.
But it's not just those that live in or come from Scotland that we want to take part - it's everyone. We want to find out what Scottish creativity means to those that live in Scotland, but we're just as keen to find out what it means to those that live far away too.
How well do Scotland's creative exports travel? What impact has its culture and creativity had on your home country or city? And how has Scottish innovation affected your day-to-day life?

As well as submitting new entries to See us over the coming months, since The Year of Creative Scotland started in January, we encourage you to add existing Blips (from as far back as 1st January 2012) that you think are suitable too.
It's really easy to do this. Just join the See us Group on Blipfoto. Then you can simply use the Group Settings icon on your entries to add your photos.
Blipfoto is a creative place. A space that encourages people all over the world to look at their surroundings in a more creative light.
And we look forward to sharing your pictures and stories to help us celebrate Scottish creativity - something that is close to the heart of Blipfoto.
