This week in Blipfoto - See them, See Us...

It's a week since we launched our latest project, See Us and already we've had some fascinating photos and stories shared.

Celebrating the Year of Creative Scotland, we're looking to find images that define what Scottish Creativity means to you. And we want everyone to get involved.

In coming weeks we'll be giving some examples of how you might take part, if you're still looking for inspiration. But already we've had a wealth of entries flooding in.

Some of our favourites include the diary of a young RAF navigator, an inspirational film setting and the labours of some very fine Scottish craftmanship.

This famous telephone box is one of the less animated stars of the celebrated film 'Local Hero' that was partly filmed on locations around the Scottish village of Pennan in 1983.

One of Scotland's finest examples of craftmanship, 10 years in the making...

This is the diary of a young RAF Navigator killed in WW2. The diaries were written in 1938, while he was an apprentice Electrician. He looked after the Model Train exhibition at the Empire Exhibition in Glasgow's Belahoustan park.

The best entries to See us will be curated by some of Scotland's best know creative names - including best-selling author Ian Rankin and world-renowned musician Nicola Benedetti - to record the Year of Creative Scotland. They will be made into a book, a touring exhibition and some other amazing outcomes along the way...

So, what does Scottish creativity mean to you?

Celebrating his 10th year "off the fags", Dublin-based Blipper Nicolas Reuland decided to commemorate by shooting a gallery of smokers. They are, after all, a dying breed...

Now his project has come to an end, an exhibition of his work is being held in the No Grants Gallery (Culture Box), in Dublin's famous Temple Bar.

It's amazing the people you meet on the street when you're prowling with a camera... Take Garry Fizell, 71, for instance. He's a bluegrass guitarist with the band Mountain Myst. His pride and joy is a 1934 Dobro, which never leaves his studio.

Tuscon Jim is known to many on Blip for his big desert skies. But he's equally well known for his big motor bikes. We love this shot from the Sonora Desert, taken at 5am to beat the Californian heat.

A hauntingly atmospheric shot of of one of Scotland's most iconic landmarks. The sea haar shrouding the Forth Rail Bridge mysteriously.

Now that's a smile. Do you think he's hungry or in a doubly playful mood?

Surfing in Munich? Despite being hundreds of kilometres from the nearest ocean, Munich has a reputation as a surfing hotspot. The Eisbach is an artificial stream that runs through the English Garden, Munich's largest public park. It was discovered that in spots, it could be a surfers paradise. The motion of the water and the apparent ease of the surfer combine to great effect.

This week there were fireworks on Blipfoto. Lots of them, celebrating Canada Day and 4th of July. But the colours of this New England display caught our eye.
