This week in Blipfoto - Wet, hot and muddy... and wet again
13th July 2012
It's been yet another busy week in Blipcentral. The See us... project is well underway with some excellent entries being posted. You can pop over to the group to have a look.
Mr Scobes' holiday shot sort of sums it all up.
Upcoming projects
We've also been working on two more projects which we hope to launch next week. It's all top secret at the moment but we know you're really going to get into them - and they're both international. More on that in a few days... we're getting very excited.
Olympic Torch Relay
Just a reminder that we've been collecting images of the Olympic Torch Relay through the UK, we've already collected hundreds which you can see here.
Any ideas how we can use them? Just drop us a line.
Staff picks
It's been another rich week for images so here are some we really liked from around the Blip world...
Last weekend saw Scotland's annual music festival and of course the weather really helped the proceedings along - solid rain but as you can see Tractor Factory caught the moment of muddy ecstasy.
Now who doesn't like a steam train in full flight? Well we do, especially when it's got this Kodachrome look captured in New Zealand by Gingernan
Meanwhile over in Australia The Manning Crowd photographed this beautiful installation as part of this year's Sidney Biennale
We also loved the juxtaposition of these two images telling the same story but in two very different ways. From Wide Angle...
..and Trisharooni...
...and you've just got to make the most of an English summer.
Finally
We were sad to hear of the passing of long term Blipper bwhere this week. Our sympathies go to his family and friends.
