Blipfoto launches Calumet partnership - win prizes, get discounts and review photographic equipment

We're delighted to announce that we've joined forces with Global photographic retailer Calumet to launch an exciting new partnership.

This collaboration will offer Blippers the chance to take part in weekly "Challenges", feature photos in the retailer's glossy magazine and get discounts on their photographic events and seminars, as well as opportunities to test out the latest cameras and equipment...

Weekly Challenge

We'll kick off the partnership with the launch of a new Weekly Challenge. Blippers will be able to submit their pictures for the chance to be Calumet's "Photo of the Week", which will feature on Blipfoto as well as Calumet's website and glossy magazine. Winners will also receive a high quality (A4 - or appropriate sized) print of their winning photo.

Each week we will have a new theme to enter images around. And we kick it off with the theme of "On the Street" - It could be in the city or the countryside; it could be some of its characters; it might be an abstract shot of the street furniture; maybe even the shops. We're looking for a great image that you feel captures the essence of 'the street'.

The winners will be revealed every Monday... Along with the theme for the next week's challenge! (The first winner will be announced on Monday 30th - giving a couple of extra days to kick it off!)

Discounts

Also, if you're still looking to hone your photography skills (to help you win future Challenges, perhaps?) we've also agreed a 10% discount on Calumet's seminars and events, which range from master-classes in wildlife photography to studio lighting; and from using off-camera flashes to urban landscapes. For the launch this will only be available in the UK, but if it is successful, it could be rolled out to other locations.

Also, other exclusive promotions will be offered to Blipfoto users throughout the year.

Furthermore, as part of the partnership, we'll also be getting access to a whole host of fancy new photographic gadgets, which we will be offering to Blippers to review.

When we are sent them, we will select a Blipper that is suited (and up for) the task at hand... If you are interested in being a reviewer, let us know.

The first shiny piece of photographic loveliness that we've been sent is the Canon 5D Mark III. Its full road test will be shared on the Blip Blog after our reviewer's had a good play.
