This week in Blipfoto - Get involved

You know how last week we said that we'd been busy? Well, this week made last week look like a fortnight's sojourn in the Med. This week is busy. Really busy. But fun-busy...

We've been busy organising lots of great things for you guys.

So, this week, we're going to try to keep it brief.

First there is the prestigious See Us project, that aims to document the year of Creative Scotland. We're looking for the pictures and stories that represent your creative Scotland.

Then there is the Our Digital Planet competition which celebrates the positive impact the internet has had on our lives, as well as the chance to win a brilliant, new camera and be part of a touring exhibition.

We've also announced an exciting new partnership with global photographic retailer Calumet. It kicks off with Photo of the Week.

It's easy to take part

To take part in all of these amazing projects and competitions you have to sign up to the relevant Groups on Blipfoto. (Members and non-members can join these three groups.)

Once you have joined the Group, just upload your new Blip as normal. Then you will be offered a choice of the groups you wish to add the entry to. Just click the relevant box. Easy.

If you've signed up for a Group, you can add existing Blips too - just click on the "Group Settings" icon under the image. This will give you a list of the groups you have joined. Simply click on the name of the group you want to add the image to.

iPad app

It's not just us that have been busy. We like to make it easy for the community to create their own useful Blipfoto tools. The Blipfoto API lets anyone create and share their own applications for the Blipfoto platform. And this week saw the launch of the new, free Blipster iPad App for Blipfoto, developed by little-h. You can find it, and other Blipfoto goodies on our Extras page.
