This week in Blipfoto - Keeping on track

27th July 2012

Our See Us project is building momentum with hundreds of entries already shared.

There's been some brilliant photos so far. But remember you don't have to live in Scotland to be inspired by Scottish creativity. In fact, we've already had photos coming in from America to Adelaide... But we really want to see more.

Adelaide, Australia, See Us, creative Scotland,

It might be music that inspires you; it might be a piece of literature; or it may even be a scene from a film. But we'd like to discover the stories and pictures of just what creative Scotland means to you?

One week left to enter Our Digital Planet

There's just one week left to get your entries in to Our Digital Planet competition, to inspire people to get online, be part of a touring exhibition and win a shiny new camera...

Our Digital Planet, Iraq, Satelitte Dish,

Did you know that 8.4m people in the UK alone have yet to experience the wonderful difference that the internet can make to their lives? But your photos could help change that...

We need your photos and stories to show what the internet means to you; how it's changed your life.

The best images will be included in a touring exhibition that aims to demonstrate the huge difference the internet can make. And these stories, conveyed through your photos, might just provide others with all the motivation and inspiration they need to get online.

And did we mention that you can win a fantastic digital camera and lens worth 500 pounds too? But be quick, there's only one week left to take part. (The closing date's the 3rd of August).

So, if you want to help share the wonders of the web, be featured in the exhibition, or win a camera, submit your blips of what the internet means to you to the Our Digital Planet Group. (Join the Group to add both new and existing Blips.)

The Festival

It's finally summer at Blip Central, and that can mean only one thing... The biggest, most famous and exciting festival in the world is just about to kick off. That's right, The Edinburgh Festival.

Edinburgh festival

Blipfoto has again teamed up with the Festivals to share your pictures and stories. And, as usual, for those lucky enough to be in the city while the festivities are on, there will be exclusive prizes, tickets and more on offer, including behind the scenes, VIP tickets for the internationally renowned Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

To take part, all you need to do is tag your Blips of the Festival with 'blipthefestivals' - these will also be shared on the Edinburgh Festival website.

The Festival launches next week, so keep an eye on the Blip Blog for more announcements, prizes and opportunities. And with all this creativity going on, there will be plenty of Blips from the Festival worthy of a See Us entry too.
