Win the best seats in the house to photograph the world-famous Festival Fireworks

29th August 2012

Get behind the scenes of the Virgin Money Fireworks Concert at the Edinburgh International Festival

On Sunday 2 September, the Edinburgh International Festival will draw to a spectacular conclusion with the Virgin Money Fireworks Concert.

With live music from the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, more than 100,000 fireworks will be fired from Edinburgh's iconic castle, lighting up the skyline with a display intricately designed to enhance the music and bring the summer festival season to a spine-tingling finale.

Blipfoto have teamed up with the Edinburgh International Festival to offer two lucky winners the unique opportunity to get behind the scenes and photograph the set-up in Edinburgh Castle, before capturing the action from Princes Street Gardens when the Concert starts at 9pm.

To enter, all you have to do is submit your pictures from this year's Edinburgh Festivals with the tag blipthefestivals. Two individuals will be chosen from all the entries.

Whether it's adding a tag to an existing photo from earlier this month or a new shot from the Festivities that are still on-going in the city (Mela Festival, International Festival, Art Festival), all new and existing photos with the tag 'blipthefestivals' will be considered for this amazing, money-can't-buy prize.

Submit your photo (or simply add the tag to an existing one) by 1pm on Friday 31 August.

Terms and Conditions

1. The prize includes photographing the set up of the Virgin Money Fireworks Concert at Edinburgh Castle on Sunday 2 September, followed by access to Princes Street Gardens from 8.30pm to photograph the display as it happens.

2. Because of the nature of the event, the winners will be accompanied at all times by a member of the Festival team and some areas may not be accessible for safety reasons.
